"Yes," Spurrier said when asked if he would favor moving USC's game against Clemson to the start of the season. "Yes."

"I'd be in favor of trying to balance our schedule a little bit more," Spurrier said......SO THEY DONT GET THE ORANGE CRUSH.

"That's hard for me to grasp hold of because my background is the big rival game always has been at the end," Swinney said. "Even when I was in high school, the Pelham-Thompson game (in Alabama) was the last game. Then it was Alabama-Auburn. That would be strange for me. I would not be in favor of that."

But the KICKER is what TDP said:
"That's not a bad idea," Phillips said of moving the game, "because, if you think about it, you have the whole summer leading up to that game. And, should you not win that game, you have the entire season to recover from it."

TDP you do alot of things, but sometimes you say the dumbest most pussified stuff and when the fanbase gets on you again, theres going to be one less defender.

Wonder what their excuse will be if we moved it to the start of the year? “We’re too young, we’re looking ahead to the SEC schedule”?

I think this is an awful idea. Orange Crush or no Orange Crush...

in-state rivalry games belong at the end of the year.

My high school team played our rivals at the beginning of the year, and it sucked. Like he said, rivalry games belong at the end.

I hate this idea.

It would take so much away from the rivalry. Besides you know that the first game is always full of flukes. No one is really set yet for the season and stupid stuff happens. I want their best shot, and they should want ours. THAT’s a rivalry.

that is strange that TDP would go to the media with that response, especially

because Dabo has openly stated that he likes the rivalry game right where it is now.

I think all of the Clemson Nation (except TDP) is in unison in wanting to keep this game at season’s end.
